I’ve been living in London since mid-2016 but obviously I’d visited plenty before then! I love living in the capital, although I do worry I don’t make as much use of it as I should. That’s why for 2019, I’m determined to get out more and visit more places and really enjoy myself.
I love visiting all the museums and art galleries (although my sister thinks I’m weird because I often go alone so I can really take my time and go at my own pace and enjoy myself) and in the summer months I love taking Kyra to the big parks so she can run around and enjoy herself. She loves it a little too much sometimes… like the time she jumped in an algae-filled fountain in Hyde Park!
Greenwich is one of my favourite and most frequently visited areas of London. I love it! It’s home to one of my favourite bookshops – Halcyon Books which basically an Aladdin’s cave of secondhand books, I can hunt around in there for hours finding goodies!
I also love visiting the observatory, Queen’s House, Cutty Sark, and Maritime Museum.
I’m just going to lump all these bits together as ‘central London’ for ease. These are the photos I’ve taken on day trips and when I venture a little further from home.
Some of these are views from my flat or nearby, some I’ve taken on morning walks and park trips with Kyra.
